Create an RFQ
An RFQ (Request For Quotation) is the starting point of every quote in MPX Engine. It groups all the parts, documents and data needed to build a sales offer.
How To
From the dashboard, click Add RFQ. A 3-step form opens.
WARNING
All fields must be filled in before you can submit the RFQ.

Step 1 — Customer Information
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Customer | Select the customer name from the dropdown list |
| Site | Choose the site associated with this customer |
| Contact | Choose the contact for this customer |
| Customer Reference | The customer's own RFQ reference number |
TIP
When a + button is displayed next to a field, you can add a new item directly to the list (for example a new customer or a new site).
Step 2 — RFQ Details
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| RFQ Name | Your internal reference to identify this RFQ |
| BID / NOBID Decision | Global decision that applies to the entire RFQ |
| Interest | Rating from 1 to 4 to qualify the interest level |
| Risk Analysis | ON / OFF — feature not yet available |
| Reception Date | Date you received the request for quotation |
| Response Date | Date by which the customer expects a response |
| Sales Department | Name of the sales representative in charge |
| Workflow | Choose the workflow to follow for this RFQ |
| Contract Duration | Default is 1. For a one-shot deal (no contract), leave at 1 |
| RFQ Currency | Select from the list (default EUR) |
Step 3 — Parts and Quantities
Two methods are available to add your parts:
Manual Entry
Enter directly for each part:
- Part number — part reference
- Part designation — part description
- Qty / aircraft — coefficient per aircraft
Excel Import
Upload an Excel file containing at least the following three columns:

TIP
Excel import is recommended when the RFQ contains a large number of parts.
Submit
Once all 3 steps are complete, click Add RFQ to finalize the creation.
Warning
If you confirm the deletion of the current entry, all entered information will be permanently lost.

Next Step
Your RFQ is created. You can now import your documents (PDF drawings, STEP files).
