Bid/No-Bid Decision
For each part in an RFQ, you must decide whether to quote it (Bid) or decline it (No-Bid). This decision is made part by part.
Prerequisites
- Have extracted the BOM from your RFQ
How To
Step 1 — View the parts list
From your RFQ, access the Parts view. Each part shows:
- Part number and designation
- Classification (elementary, assembly, standard)
- Material
- Program quantities
Step 2 — Evaluate each part
For each part, assess whether it fits your capabilities:
- Material: do you have experience with this alloy?
- Dimensions: compatible with your machines?
- Treatments: can you manage treatment subcontracting?
- Quantities: is the volume worth it?
Step 3 — Mark the decision
Click on the part's status to change it:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Bid | You will quote this part |
| No-Bid | You decline this part |
| Pending | Decision not yet made |
Step 4 — Set Make/Buy
For parts marked as Bid, indicate whether they will be:
- Make: manufactured in-house
- Buy: subcontracted
